The Interfaith & Outreach Committee of the Muslim Community Center (MCC) aims to foster a better understanding of Islam and Muslims among our friends and neighbors of different faiths. We organize several community outreach programs throughout the year. Our primary goal is to promote open dialogue and facilitate a greater understanding of Islam and of Muslims. We also participate in events that benefit the community at large. We are an active volunteer-driven committee that strives to build mutual respect and understanding among people of different faiths and to increase the acceptance of others. We are proud to be a part of the American diaspora and we aim to enrich our common values.
Islam has long espoused open dialog and the Quran states,
“O people! Behold, we have created you from a male and a female and have made you into nations and tribes so that you might come to know one another. Verily, the noblest of you in the sight of God is the one who is most deeply conscious of God. Behold, God is all-knowing, all-aware.” [Qur’an 49:13]
We invite you to explore this page and to attend our many activities throughout the year.
