Imam Sa'ad Quadri
Sa’ad Quadri was born and raised in the Chicagoland area. He completed his Bachelor’s in English at Northern Illinois University and his Master’s in Education at DePaul University. Sa’ad completed high school a year early to begin his formal Islamic studies at the Institute of Islamic Education. He spent three years there memorizing the Qur’an and studying the introductory Islamic sciences. Thereafter, he continued his studies part-time for over a decade with local scholars and traveled overseas to complete his `ilmiyyah degree at Jamiah Islamiyya in Lusaka, Zambia. By profession Sa’ad serves as a teacher at MCC Academy and resident scholar at the Muslim Educational Center. He also works part-time for High Quality Educational Consulting, with whom he has authored multiple books, as well as a certified personal trainer for JAANWAR Fitness. He hopes to educate the community in the need to balance between a strong mind, body, and soul.

Imam Abdul Ahad Hussain
Imam Abdul Ahad Hussain is the Resident Scholar at the Muslim Community Center (MCC). Born and raised in the Chicagoland area, he memorized the Qur’an locally and pursued advanced Islamic studies at the International Islamic University, Islamabad, where he completed a Bachelor’s degree in Usul al-Din with a specialization in Tafsir. He also completed the traditional Dars-e-Nizami curriculum covering Qur’an, Hadith, jurisprudence, theology, and Arabic sciences.
Alongside his traditional training, Imam Abdul Ahad is completing a Master’s degree in Islamic Chaplaincy, equipping him to serve the spiritual and pastoral needs of the community. He has previously taught Qur’an memorization and Islamic Studies and remains deeply committed to youth mentorship, family engagement, and community outreach.
At MCC, he focuses on accessible teaching, spiritual counseling, and nurturing a balanced Islamic identity rooted in knowledge, character, and service.

Alimah Sakina Syeda
Born in Dubai and raised in Chicago, ‘Alimah Sakina Syeda completed her formal Islamic scholarship at the Institute of Islamic Education, receiving ijazat in tafsir, hadith, and fiqh. She also earned a summa cum laude degree in English Secondary Education and a Master’s in Educational Leadership with a principal endorsement.
Through her work in Chicago Public Schools and her ongoing teaching of Islamic studies, ‘Alimah Sakina is dedicated to nurturing hearts and minds through sacred knowledge, meaningful learning, and community connection. She lives in Chicago with her husband and children and continues to serve the Chicagoland community through classes, halaqahs, and educational initiatives.
Alimah Sana Mohiuddin
Raised in Texas, Sana Mohiuddin moved to Chicago over twenty years ago, where she began her formal Islamic studies at the Institute of Islamic Education (IIE). She later completed her studies at Jamia Zainab in Lusaka, Zambia, receiving an ijāzah in fiqh, tafseer, Arabic, seerah, and hadith.
Alongside her Islamic scholarship, Sana earned a Master’s degree in Counselor Education from Northeastern Illinois University with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy. She integrates her background in psychology and human behavior with her grounding in the Islamic sciences to support individuals and families in developing both emotional well-being and a meaningful, healthy relationship with Allah (swt).
Sana serves as a female religious scholar for the MEC community and practices as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the Chicagoland area. Her work centers on cultivating faith with depth, balance, and compassion — helping individuals strengthen their connection to Allah while also managing life’s complexities.
